There’s been a lot of talk about blue the last few days, the less said about that the better, but for the next three weeks the colour is pink.
The Giro d’Italia, one of cycling’s prestigious three-week-long Grand Tours along with the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España, started today with a stage finishing on the Mediterranean coast in the city of Sanremo, close to the French border.
Maglia Rosa
Since 1931 the race leader is identified by wearing the maglia rosa, or pink jersey in Enlish, so in honour of the jersey I’ve redesigned this website which is now pink. I’ve also reworked my logo to represent the cogs used in bicycle gears.
The race continues for the rest of the month and finishes in Milan on the 31st of May.
